Wedding Registry

Our Invitations by LKP Design!
Now that we have sent out about half of our invitations (still working on addressing the rest!) and the invitations have gone out for Nicole's Nebraska Bridal Shower we've gotten a few questions from folks asking if we registered anywhere.

Since we'll be traveling back home from our wedding by plane, we decided to register at Amazon.com.  The best part of Amazon's registry is that they allowed us to add items from any store! So in addition to items from Amazon, we also included items from Crate & Barrel, Pottery Barn, Bed Bath & Beyond, and wherever else something struck our fancy!  For the Universal Registry (non-Amazon items) a link takes you directly to the page where the item is found.  If you choose to use this list, and buy something from the Universal Registry, please be sure to click, "Mark this item as purchased" so we don't end up with multiple Compost Aerators!  Amazon.com also allowed us to rank-order our wishlist, so that we have Nice, Like, and Love to Have items, which we thought was a neat feature.

If you'd like to check it out, you can find our registry by searching on the Amazon.com registry search tool, or simply by clicking here.

Things to Do in Omaha

Within Walking Distance of the Hotel

Since the hotel is located in the heart of the Old Market, you have some options!  We recommend walking around to get a sense of the restaurants and stores.  There are also a variety of parks and other outdoor attractions that we would recommend, including:
Bob Kerry Pedestrian Bridge

Take Advantage of the Hotel Shuttle

The Embassy Suites hotel shuttle provides free service to and from destinations within a certain distance of the hotel.  Consider these options:
The Joslyn Art Museum
  • The Henry Doorly Zoo is a must-see!  Visit America’s largest indoor rainforest, the world’s largest indoor desert, a 70 foot long shark tunnel, and the world’s largest nocturnal exhibit (featuring bats and other scary things!)
  • The Joslyn Art Museum has free admission on Saturdays from 10am – Noon. Just be sure to be back in time for the wedding shuttle!  The museum is in a gorgeous art deco building with an outdoor sculpture garden.
  • The Omaha Children’s Museum has a special play area for kids 0-3 (Boaz, Franklin, Teagan, & Jack, are you reading this?)
